Turn Your Commute into IPC Exam Prep
Oct 18, 2026
A 30-minute ride each way adds up to about five hours a week. That's enough time to work through a full module of IPC exam prep without giving up an evening.
ElectroSpec's courses are on demand and play in the free Kajabi app, so your phone becomes your study desk.
First, a safety note
This is for passengers. If you're riding a train, bus, ferry or carpool, study away. If you're driving, keep your eyes on the road and save the lessons for your lunch break or when you're parked.
Make each trip one small goal
Commutes work best when every ride has a clear finish line.
- One lesson per trip. Pick a single lesson or topic and finish it.
- Let the app hold your place. If your stop comes early, the Resume button takes you right back tomorrow.
- Use the ride home for review. Rewatch the part that didn't stick on the way in.
Set up before you leave
- Sign in to the Kajabi app at home on Wi-Fi so you're ready to go.
- Pack earbuds. You'll catch more of the instructor's explanation.
- Turn your screen brightness up for bright mornings.
- Check your data plan. Video uses data when you're off Wi-Fi.
Save the heavy lifting for later
Commutes are ideal for lessons and review. The open-book work, where you look things up in the standard, is easier at a desk with a bigger screen.
A simple weekly rhythm works well: lessons on the ride, practice questions at home one or two evenings, and a full practice run before exam day.
Small sessions, real results
Short, steady study beats a weekend cram. You see the material more often, so it stays with you.
Ready to put your ride to work? Choose IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 or IPC-A-600 and start your first lesson on tomorrow's commute.
